‘Pusan West’ – Korean Filmmakers attending U.S. showings

The Pusan International Film Festival (Asia’s biggest film festival) has entered into a partnership with Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film & Media Arts in Southern California to create PUSAN WEST – whose aim is to bring Korean cinema to the US. Some of Korea’s most famous filmmakers will be attending a three day showcase which will see showings of the likes of – among others – THIRST, A BITTERSWEET LIFE, MOTHER, THE CHASER, LIKE A VIRGIN and VIVA,LOVE. The directors in attendance will be:

Park Chan-wook (THIRST)

Kim Jee-woon (A BITTERSWEET LIFE)

Lee Doo-yong (LAST WITNESS)

Park Jin-sung (EVIL SPIRIT)

Kim Dong-won (DRIFTING AWAY)

Kim Young-nam (DON’T LOOK BACK)
