News: Shutting up shop for xmas

So I’ve decided to shut up shop for the year a little early for xmas due to illness – I don’t want to be posting bad quality reviews now!

In the new year the site will be back even stronger with stacks of reviews and news, as well as an even stronger archive of trailers, hopefully some interviews, etc!!

Until then, this final news update of the year: there were two new reviews on the site this week – INTO THE MIRROR and SAVE THE GREEN PLANET, as well as an article outlining some of the issues raised with regards to romanising Korean names.

A couple of last news ‘bits’ for you, both from Twitch. First up is the teaser trailer for SECRET REUNION. It’s an unsubbed trailer, but worth a look. This is shaping up more than nicely. It’s released domestically in January, so hopefull it’ll be picked up elsewhere or DVD’s will be announced for the early summer. Check it out below:

Secondly, again from Twitch, is a music video for JEON WOO CHI: THE TAOIST WIZARD which appears to have been renamed WOOCHI. The song is not necessarily to everyone’s tastes. If you don’t like this kind of cheesy pop then turn the speakers down to watch the clips, otherwise turn the speakers up and blast it for the neighbours!

Finally, the latest additions to the New Korean Cinema YouTube trailer archive: THE GUARDPOST, HEAVENS SOLDIERS, J.S.A. (JOINT SECURUTY AREA), SYMPATHY FOR MR VENGEANCE, OLDBOY and SAVE THE GREEN PLANET

2009 has been a good start for the site and 2010 will be even better, so thanks for visiting and until then, happy holidays and stay safe!
